Palm Beach
Palm Beach is the island's busiest beach, a two-mile strip according to the board's guide, with resorts, casinos and the departures of most catamarans (see Palm Beach). The Holiday Inn Resort has 590 rooms and suites, a kids club, free bicycles and free Wi-Fi. Marriott's Aruba Ocean Club offers one- and two-bedroom villas with full kitchens for up to 8 guests, a kids club and a swim-up pool bar. The Ritz-Carlton's rooms have balconies over the beach, and RIU Palace is adults only. For the luxury names compared, see luxury resorts in Aruba.
Eagle Beach
The board calls Eagle Beach the widest beach in Aruba, with soft white sand, some beach huts, water sports and the two fofoti trees seen in the island's advertising; most of Aruba's sea turtle nests are there (see Eagle Beach). Hotels are low-rise:
- Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort: 72 studios and suites with kitchens, in front of the fofoti trees, with a waterfall pool.
- Casa Del Mar Beach Resort: suites for up to six guests, a minimart, babysitting and a children's activity center.
- Manchebo Beach Resort & Spa: 72 rooms with furnished patios or balconies, a Balinese spa pavilion and seaside yoga; its own website says it sits on the "most expansive" part of Eagle Beach (manchebo.com, read 7 November 2026).
- Paradise Beach Villas: studios up to a three-bedroom penthouse, about 75 steps from the beach.
Druif Beach
Druif is the quieter stretch near Oranjestad, with calm, clear water and pelicans perched on poles in the shallows (see Druif Beach). Divi Dutch Village, a short walk away, has all-suite accommodation with full kitchens, three freshwater pools and three whirlpools, and Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive has 236 oceanfront rooms with 10 dining options and 8 bars.
Beachfront or beach-access?
Some hotels listed as "on the beach" are across the street or a few steps away: MVC Eagle Beach is across from the beach, and Paradise Beach Villas is about 75 steps from the sand. Look at the hotel's own description before you book a room billed as beachfront. For the hotels' overall picture see where to stay in Aruba, and for a head-to-head of the two main beaches Palm Beach vs Eagle Beach.
Typical mistakes
- Choosing by the hotel name without checking the beach: Palm Beach and Eagle Beach are very different stays.
- Taking "beach access" for "beachfront".
- Booking a Palm Beach strip hotel for a quiet week, or an Eagle Beach low-rise for nightlife on foot.
- Expecting the tourism board to give rates: it gives none.
