Andicuri Beach Aruba: Wild Cove, Surf and Currents

Updated on November 7, 2026

Andicuri Beach is a sandy cove on Aruba's windward east coast, just south of the collapsed Natural Bridge, where dramatic bluffs and coral-stone cliffs enclose a wide bay (Aruba Tourism Authority, read 7 November 2026). It is a place for scenery, bodyboarding and quiet; the tourism board says experienced swimmers can enter the water but must be aware of currents.

Highlights

The cove and the bluffs

The cove and the bluffs

The wide bay is enclosed by cliffs, with some shade in places.

The waves

Bodyboarders come for the stronger surf, and local bodyboarding competitions are held here.

Black Stone Beach and the triple bridge

Further along the dirt road are Black Stone Beach and a limestone natural bridge with three arches.

Quiet

Locals come here for peace and quiet, compared with the busier Eagle and Palm Beach.

Practical info

Tips

  • There are no food or drink facilities at Andicuri, so bring your own picnic and take your rubbish with you; the board asks visitors to leave the beach clean. Driving on the sand and barbecuing are prohibited. The board does not say whether a 4x4 is needed, lists no hours, fees, restrooms or lifeguards, and warns only about currents, so ask your tour operator or your rental company about the road before you go. For a swim, choose a calmer beach such as Eagle Beach, or swim in the Natural Pool only when the sea is calm (see Aruba's Natural Pool). A jeep tour is the easy way to see this coast without driving yourself: the Signature Natural Pool and Baby Beach jeep tour by Fofoti on Viator is rated 4.9 out of 5 from 1,727 reviews (read 7 November 2026). It covers the same windward coast, but it is not a visit to Andicuri, so check the itinerary.

How to get there

Andicuri is on the east coast, south of the Natural Bridge, at coordinates 12.537493, -69.955809. The board describes a dirt road to the neighboring beaches but gives no further directions; see getting around Aruba and Aruba island tours.

Opening hours

Best: January to April
Open-access beach; the tourism board lists no hours or fees (aruba.com, read 7 November 2026).
