Surfside Beach is a beach on the edge of downtown Oranjestad, where the beachfront Surfside Beach Bar, the official Corona Bar, serves wood-fired pizzas, salads, cocktails, beers and selected wines on the sand with a front-row view of the Caribbean Sea, and planes often fly overhead (Aruba Tourism Authority, read 7 November 2026). It is a short beach stop in town, not a resort beach.

Tips
- Surfside is a place to eat, drink and watch the planes, so pair it with the town rather than with a beach day. Downtown Oranjestad has Main Street shopping, museums and a tram linking the cruise terminal with the town center (see Oranjestad). For swimming and longer beach time, the board describes Druif Beach as calm and quieter and Eagle Beach as the widest beach on the island. The board lists food and drink, public transport and public parking at Surfside, and gives no hours or admission, so check the bar's own hours. A cruise day in port is a natural fit (see what to do at the Aruba cruise port). Hotels in town are in the box on this page; see also where to stay in Oranjestad.
How to get there
Surfside is near downtown Oranjestad, at coordinates 12.506886, -70.028574. The main bus station is across from the cruise terminal, and Arubus lines run to Eagle Beach and Palm Beach at $2.60 per trip; the airport is $26 by taxi to Oranjestad (arubus.com and Visit Aruba, read 6 November 2026). Public parking is listed by the tourism board.
