Flamingo Beach Aruba: Renaissance Island Day Pass

Flamingo Beach Aruba: Renaissance Island Day Pass

Updated on November 7, 2026

Flamingo Beach is on Renaissance Island, a private island in Oranjestad that belongs to the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort. The tourism board says it is open to the resort's guests between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily (aruba.com, read 7 November 2026), and non-guests can buy a day pass only when the resort's occupancy is not too high (VisitAruba, read 7 November 2026). If you are not staying there, plan for the possibility that no pass is on sale for your date.

Highlights

The flamingos

The flamingos

The island is known for its pink flamingos, and the tourism board invites visitors to take a photo with them. The birds are the reason most day visitors want to come, so ask the resort about the rules for approaching them.

Calm water and white sand

VisitAruba describes soft, powder-white sand and excellent swimming conditions with calm water, which suits families and weaker swimmers.

Cabanas and overwater bungalows

The island has private luxury beach cabanas for rent and overwater bungalows. Cabanas are a paid extra, so ask what a day pass includes before you book one.

Spa, restaurant and bar

The tourism board lists a spa, a restaurant and a bar on the island, so you can stay for the day without going back to the mainland.

Practical info

Tips

  • The island is only reached by the resort's boat, which runs from the hotel about every quarter hour at no charge for guests (aruba.com, read 7 November 2026). The tourism board gives no price for a day pass and no booking page, so the surest route is to contact the resort directly, by phone on +297-583-6000 or by email at [email protected], both listed on the tourism board's page. Do not rely on a pass being available on the day: ask for the dates when passes are sold. If you want a private-island day with no hotel stay and no uncertainty, De Palm Island sells entry to the public. For a free public beach with white sand, see Eagle Beach and Palm Beach. If you want the island as part of a stay, see where to stay in Oranjestad.

How to get there

The boat to the island leaves from the Renaissance resort in Oranjestad, a short ride from Renaissance Marina downtown, according to VisitAruba. From the airport it is a few minutes by taxi or transfer; see airport transfers in Aruba and getting around Aruba.

Opening hours

Best: Morning, all year
7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., every day, for resort guests (aruba.com, read 7 November 2026). Day passes for non-guests depend on occupancy; no price is published by the tourism board, so confirm it with the resort when you ask for availability.
