Dos Playa Aruba: Two Wild Coves in Arikok

Updated on November 8, 2026

Dos Playa is a pair of bordering coves inside Arikok National Park on Aruba's northeast coast, reached on foot, with a rough ocean and a strong undertow that make it unsuited to inexperienced swimmers and body-boarders (Aruba Tourism Authority, read 7 November 2026). One cove is popular with surfers and has a broad white-sand beach with sea-grape trees for shade.

Practical info

Tips

  • The tourism board is direct about what is missing: do not expect facilities or services here. Driving and barbecuing on the sand are strictly forbidden. Park guides lead walks along dry riverbeds to secluded bays including Moro, Boca Prins and Dos Playa (see Arikok National Park). If you want to reach the coast by jeep instead of on foot, the closest listing is the Arikok National Park jeep tour with a Baby Beach visit, rated 4.7 out of 5 from 209 reviews and on GetYourGuide (read 7 November 2026); its title names the park and Baby Beach, not Dos Playa, so it covers the same rough coast without being a ticket to this beach. For a place to actually swim, compare Baby Beach and the Natural Pool and Eagle Beach.

How to get there

Dos Playa is inside Arikok National Park, at coordinates 12.5060, -69.9183, and the coves are accessible by foot only. Buy the day pass (US$22 per non-resident adult, Aruba Conservation Foundation) at the visitor center at San Fuego 71 in Santa Cruz. See getting around Aruba.

Opening hours

Best: Daytime, dry months
Arikok National Park, daily 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (visitaruba.com, read 7 November 2026); no separate fee for the coves, only the park ticket.
