Choosing
- Kids club and a lively strip: Palm Beach. Holiday Inn Resort and the Marriott properties are on the sand. See Palm Beach.

Family days beyond the resort
- Beaches. Baby Beach has the calmest water on the island (near San Nicolas); Arashi Beach is shallow with soft sand; Boca Catalina is a small cove with easy access. See Arashi Beach and Boca Catalina.
- Animals. The Donkey Sanctuary is free (open 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily except January 1); donations are welcome.
